Allen & Heath dLive S class has been created for professional touring, broadcast and premium installations like corporate AV, houses of worship, regional rental companies and theatres.
The users of dLive may have to carry the audio mixer to the event venue for live performances. Armor Road Cases has designed a unique flip flight case which makes it easy to carry and install the audio mixer single-handedly. This road case features gas struts which allows the user to setup the console effortlessly. The case can be steered to the location and can be ready for use in easy steps. The user needs to remove the top lid, open front split doors, give the console a gentle lift and watch it being pushed up to working position. The console is ready to use once it is connected to power and data. The entire process can be done without any extra help. There is no need to set up a workbench to place the heavy console. After use, the case can be conveniently closed down by opening the front doors, pushing the console down and closing the case.
The case itself gets transformed into a workbench There is a plywood enclosure with dog box for the console. It is built behind the console with flush latches which can be pushed to open. Piano hinges are affixed to offer full access behind the console when needed. There are foam inserts/cut outs which are placed at the bottom of the case and inside of the front doors to secure the console in place when the case is closed. The plywood enclosure is made of 18mm laminated plywood panel on both sides. The console is protected within the plywood and foam enclosure and can be removed easily for maintenance or whenever required. The flip flight case is made of Penn Elcom hardware and has a glossy black honeycomb finish on its exterior. It has side handles on each side for easy navigation and storage pockets for some extra storage space.
