The WS-GI-600 is a custom-built workstation road case for AV production. It allows users to easily continue to work on their creative projects with its many storage spaces, drawers, and VESA mounts. This particular case was requested by the customer to have an increased rack height in the bottom right storage area. The VESA mounts situated on the torque-hinge lid allows for the use of any two monitors, as long as they use the standard 100X100 VESA mount pattern. This case is built with 12mm plywood panels for better strength and protection against any bumps, nicks, or scratches that may be inflicted during its travel. This, coupled with the 10mm EVA 38 foam that lines the three pull-out drawers, helps to ensure that any contents stored inside the case are well protected.
There are access passages/panels throughout the case to ensure that essential cables and wires such as those that run from a keyboard or digital mixer are organised for easier use. There is also a side latch which allows the cables to cleanly run out the case and connect to external power sockets. The case sits on 4 sets of swivel castor wheels, two of which are braked, to enable the case to freely move around in any direction with ease.
This case has been built with our own Armor hardware. There are C3102 large steel ball corners to protect the case corners against bumps. The L2208 medium butterfly latch is used to secure the removable front lid and the torque-hinge lid. As mentioned before, there are 4x Carjet 3B 4”/100mm swivel castors, two of which are braked, for easy transportation.
The single angle and hybrid edge heavy-duty aluminium extrusions protect the corner joints and the edges of the P1201 plywood panels of the case. The H1101 medium recessed flip handles are positioned on each of the shorter sides of the case to help with pulling the case for transportation.
